PartsTrader cuts order options for unegaged suppliers

PartsTrader has discontinuing the fax only option for suppliers who choose not to utilize the PartsTrader platform as a fully active participating supplier, the company notified shops in an email. Feedback from repairers in the pilot period of our program clearly indicated that permitting this limited-participation option did not help them achieve the efficiency in the procurement process that can be achieved with PartsTrader. This option ended in Arizona on July 31, 2013. When using PartsTrader after July 31, suppliers nominated by repairers to use PartsTrader who have not yet begun to use the PartsTrader application to provide quotes or accept orders will no longer appear on the system as an available vendor, and therefore will no longer be able to receive orders placed in PartsTrader via fax. PartsTrader supports repairers encouraging these suppliers to participate, but also encouraged repairers to identify participating suppliers so as to avoid any purchasing issues beyond August 1.
