By January 2016, the National Auto Body Council (NABC) anticipates that its members will have officially donated over 1,000 vehicles and helped improve the quality of life for thousands of individuals across the country through its signature Recycled Rides™ program.

To commemorate this milestone, the National Auto Body Council will host a special celebration event Tuesday, January 12, 2016, in Palm Springs in conjunction with its annual Golf Fundraiser and the Collision Industry Conference (CIC) meetings that week.

The celebration starts with a champagne toast on Tuesday, January 12, at 5:30 pm at the Hilton Palm Springs, and a commemorative 1,000th Recycled Rides vehicle presentation to a local Palm Springs family.

A celebration reception will follow immediately after the vehicle presentation where special recognition awards will be presented to acknowledge those in the collision industry who have contributed to the success of the Recycled Rides program since its inception in 2007.

All industry professionals attending the National Auto Body Council Golf Fundraiser and Collision Industry Conference meetings are invited to attend.

The 1,000th Recycled Rides vehicle was donated by Hertz and being repaired by Caliber Collision-Coachella Valley with contributions of parts and services from many others in the collision industry.  The recipient family was selected by Variety the Children’s Charity of the Desert, which has partnered with NABC to nominate recipients for the Recycled Rides events in Palm Springs for the past four years.

“The success of Recycled Rides Is due to the generous commitment of time, talent and resources by so many individuals and businesses in our collision industry,” said Domenic Brusco, Chairman of the National Auto Body Council.  “We look forward to celebrating this important milestone with our friends and colleagues in Palm Springs.”
