Lawsuit filed against Infinity Insurance

Eddie Quintela, owner of Collision Concepts of Delray Beach, Fla., has levied a lawsuit against Infinity Insurance Company.

Eddie Quintela, owner and operator of Collision Concepts of Delray Beach, Fla., has levied a lawsuit against Infinity Insurance Company on behalf of his customer for the insurer’s short pays of “reasonable and necessary” repair costs.

Quintela sent his corporate legal counsel, Attorney Brent Geohagan, of Lakeland, Fla., (also Ray Gunder’s legal Counsel) instructions to file a lawsuit against Infinity Insurance Co. for an underpayment of $611.00 for their arbitrary discount on parts, failure to provide ample consideration for numerous necessary repair processes, related materials, labor rates and quality replacement parts.

“Our customer is angry,” says Quintela. “He’s upset that his insurer whom he trusted to be there in his time of need is attempting to underpay for his repair and force him to unauthorized discounts and to use inferior replacement parts…who can blame him for being upset? So as a courtesy to our client, we provided a proper and thorough repair using quality replacement parts with the understanding that we would seek recovery of his insurer’s underpayments on his behalf.”

"Our customer is very appreciative of our commitment to quality and for helping him in his time of need.”

Quintela goes on to state, “I’m no stranger to litigation. Since meeting Barrett Smith of ADE and Ray Gunder, I have had dozens of such lawsuits of which our customers have won every single one, and we have dozens more currently in process that I have no doubt we will win as well. I don’t expect any insurer to pay one penny more than is necessary to properly repair our customer’s vehicles, but I won’t allow insurers to pay one penny less than is necessary to do so either!”
