IAA renewed its commitment to CIECA and the CIECA standards. Founded in 1982 and headquartered near Chicago, IL, IAA is a global marketplace connecting vehicle buyers and sellers. The company has more than 190 facilities throughout the US, Canada and the United Kingdom.
Maju Abraham, IAA’s chief information officer, said the company leverages leading-edge technology and focuses on innovation to provide a broad range of services to insurers, dealerships, rental car companies and fleet lease companies. Abraham has been involved with CIECA for more than 14 years.
“Many IAA team members were already part of CIECA, and hearing about their experiences is one of the many reasons I wanted to join—and continue to renew our membership,” said Abraham.
IAA joined CIECA in 2008.
“IAA has a long-standing relationship with CIECA,” he said. “We value our partnership to learn, grow and adapt together.”
Over the years, Abraham said that CIECA has provided IAA with the opportunity to network and collaborate with industry partners and build solutions together.
“It is a forward-looking organization that enhances the industry though efficiencies and brings talent together to collaborate on the future of our marketplace.”
Abraham said that CIECA standards create a common understanding and consistent approach to solve a problem.
“They set a consistent level for doing business better, bolstering the reputation of the organization and of participating companies,” he added.
