AASP-MN to host “Estimating Best Practices” seminar

On Friday, March 29, AASP-MN will host “Estimating Best Practices,” from 7:30 – 11:30 a.m., at Lowell’s Training Center, Edina.
On Friday, March 29, AASP-MN will host “Estimating Best Practices,” from 7:30 – 11:30 a.m., at Lowell’s Training Center, Edina.  The very popular and renowned industry trainer, Mike Anderson, Collision Advice, will present the session. 

Attendees will learn a systematic approach to discover and ensure that all of the “NOT INCLUDED” items required to restore a vehicle back to its pre-accident condition are included on the repair plan.  They will also gain a better understanding of what key performance indicators (KPIs) should be monitored when auditing the quality of their estimates.

The program includes:
   - The 3 T’s – Thorough Disassembly, Thorough Damage Analysis and Thorough Auditing
   - Understanding why some things are not-included items in the p-pages (Variable Theory)
   - How to write a damage analysis in conjunction with 100% disassembly
   - How to utilize technology to write-it-right
   - How to get paid for hotly contested items, such as prepping raw plastic, blend within a panel, “feather, prime and block,” masking operations, weld burn damage and more
   - The importance of OEM Information

Other topics addressed are:
   - How to utilize systems to avoid last minute parts delays
   - The importance of 100% disassembly and its effect on cycle time
   - Plus, “must-have” tools for profitable estimating, such as the DEG website, ASA Not-Included Guides, and parts and OEM websites
