SCA’s Shop-Chek DRP Desk Review Service is more than just a typical desk review. Shop-Chek is designed specifically for insurers DRP programs. Unique handling profiles are created for each client’s DRP guidelines under the Shop-Chek program, with respect to alternate parts application, repair methodology, betterment and depreciation policies. Each Shop-Chek review includes direct contact with the DRP shop manager, a full review of the vehicle photos, detailed review of the shops estimate and even a review of frame dimensioning printouts when applicable – A true detailed audit of the repairs as presented by the shop vs a typical “Desk Review”. After all repair details are reviewed, the Shop-Chek Appraiser rewrites the estimate in its entirety, discusses the revisions with the shop manager and secures an agreed price on repairs. Along with that, a detailed report of the Shop-Chek review is provided to the client highlighting each revision by category.
It doesn’t stop there, however. Every Shop-Check review is entered into a database, with monthly reports provided to the client, broken down by repair facility name and variance percentages by category. This allow insurers to get a true picture of each DRP provider to insure consistency and compliance within their network. To add to the value of the program, SCA’s 650+ appraiser field network offers support to the Shop-Chek program for post-repair reinspections to provide ultimate compliance of DRP networks.
