The National Auto Body Council (NABC) selected Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013 for its upcoming Annual Golf Event Fundraiser, which will again take place at the Tahquitz Creek Golf Resort in Palm Springs, Calif. The event is being held in conjunction with the NABC’s open board meeting, which will take place Jan. 22.

Because it is a major source of funding for the NABC, the fundraising event plays an integral part in providing the resources that support the organization in its mission of promoting the image of all dedicated collision industry professionals, while ensuring the industry is recognized as essential in serving the community. It is one way to help ensure the NABC continues to implement the programs and activities that define it and give shape to this purpose.

The event is open to both individuals and teams, and will be played using a four-person scramble format. Breakfast will be served at the course prior to the 10 a.m shotgun start and the event will conclude with a buffet reception, awards ceremony, and prize package drawings. Transportation will be provided to and from the conference hotel to Tahquitz Creek Golf Resort.

“Building off of the format changes we implemented for the 2012 event, we look to again have our highest grossing event to date and a ton of fun in the process,” said David Merrell of PartsTrader, who with Domenic Brusco of PPG, is the NABC fundraising committee co-chair. “Without this event and the industry’s support we could not continue the mission and vision of the NABC.”

Registration and sponsorship opportunities are now open and the event has sold out on a regular basis in past years, so interested parties are advised not to wait until the last minute to sign up. The NABC welcomes any donations of prizes, raffle items, or items for the golfer’s bags from anyone interested in a special marketing opportunity at this year’s even. Contact the NABC's administrative office at 888-667-7433 if you would like to donate or have other questions. For more information, visit  www.autobodycouncil.org.
