The Collision Repair Education Foundation and Rust-Oleum are collaborating this spring on a Facebook contest that will help provide high school and college collision school programs with a professional appearance upgrade through the donation of epoxy floor coating. Eighteen schools, who applied for the Education Foundation’s 2015 Makeover school grant, submitted pictures of their collision program floors. Industry members can then vote for a school by visiting the Education Foundation’s Facebook page and “Liking” the picture of their choosing. The picture that receives the most “Likes” by May 2 will receive Rust-Oleum’s, RockSolid floor coating for their floors.

“We’re proud and excited to contribute to such a worthwhile effort,” said Steve Gillmann, vice-president human resources, at Rust-Oleum. “We know that giving these students a chance to work in a professional environment can ultimately lead them to success in their careers.”

Collision Repair Education Foundation Director of Development Brandon Eckenrode noted, “Rust-Oleum has generously assisted over 20 collision school programs across the country by providing them with donated epoxy floor coating. As some of these schools have not had their floors worked on since they initially open, the newly coated floors provide an incredible professional appearance which is important for current and future students to see. Through this Facebook contest, we invite the industry to get involved with selecting a future recipient school and allow this school’s collision programs floors to look brand new.”

Industry members can vote for the school that they would like to see provided the donated epoxy floor coating by visiting the Education Foundation’s Facebook page, view the Rust-Oleum school photo album, and by “Liking” the picture of the school that they would like to see receive the donated floor coating. Questions about this program or those interested in joining the Collision Repair Education Foundation in supporting high school and college collision school programs, students, and instructors are encouraged to contact Director of Development Brandon Eckenrode at 847.463.5244.
